Kiwanis Supper (Item posted on 4/15/08)
Brighton Kiwanis and the PTSA are again sponsoring a spaghetti supper in memory of Al Lewis, on May 20, the day of the school budget vote.

The dinner is held at the Brighton High School cafeteria from 4:30-8 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under. Take out orders are available.

Proceeds from the dinner are designated for a scholarship for a graduating BHS senior.

Bel-Air Spring Events (Item posted on 4/13/08)
The Bel-Air Neighborhood Association (BANA) will be holding its annual Strawberry Festival on June 1, from 2-4 p.m., at the Mayflower-Warrington street island. Music will be provided by the Sunday Singers and Clarinet Collection. Activities for kids as well as strawberries and whipped cream will be back by popular demand.

BANA will again sponsor a lawn sale that weekend, Saturday and Sunday, May 31 and June 1. BANA will pay for an add in the Democrat and Chronicle, so plan to sell your items that weekend!

School Budget Vote May 20 (Item posted on 4/13/08)
Don't forget to vote on the Brighton School District Budget May 20th.

Residents wishing to post a sign reminding their neighbors of the budget vote may call Laura Kaufman, the School-Community Liaison for Brighton Central Schools, at 242-5191.

First Annual Brighton Clean Sweep on April 26! (Item posted on 4/13/08)
The Town of Brighton and Brighton Central Schools are sponsoring a Clean Sweep on Saturday April 26, 2008. Volunteers are needed to clean up Brighton's streets, creeks and trails.

The event will kickoff at The Brighton Town Hall at 9 a.m., and end at 11:30 with lunch at French Road Elementary School Cafeteria. High school and middle school students participating should report to the Twelve Corners Middle School Atrium, rather than the Town Hall.

Volunteers interested in coordinating should report at 8:30 a.m. for brief safety training.

Volunteers will be given special T-shirts!

Volunteers should wear boots and work clothes. Providing your own rakes and shovels is appreciated!
